Both Neowiz and Round8 Studio have confirmed that an update for Lies of P is in development, aiming to adjust the difficulty, particularly of the Overture DLC. This decision is a direct response to community feedback, which criticized the high level of challenge in the expansion.

The Overture DLC was released as a surprise during the Summer Game Fest, but player reception was quickly overshadowed by complaints about its difficulty. This sparked discussions about balancing, especially for those seeking a more advanced experience in the game.

Jiwon Choi, the game director, acknowledged the concerns. He stated that the team is analyzing player opinions, focusing on the combat system. According to Choi, "some parts of the game did not go as planned," which prompted the evaluation of changes to reduce the difficulty.

Despite the intention to make progress easier, Choi emphasized the need for rigorous testing for any modifications. Combat is a central pillar of the Lies of P experience, and changes in this aspect require caution to not compromise the game's identity.
