Konami confirmed that it will broadcast the Press Start Live event on June 12, with an expected duration of 37 minutes, at 6am PT / 9am ET / 9am CEST. The live broadcast will bring news about some of its main titles, including an extended presentation of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Silent Hill f, and other yet unrevealed projects.

The promise is that the event will bring content directly from the developers and producers behind the company's classic franchises. Highlights include a more technical approach to the development of Metal Gear Solid Delta, a remake of the original classic released in 2004, with a focus on the visual reconstruction of the jungle, enemy AI, and fidelity to the original tactical mechanics. The project is being developed with Unreal Engine 5 and reuses the original voice cast audios, as previously confirmed by Konami.

On the other hand, Silent Hill f, officially announced in 2022, will regain focus after appearing in the State of Play in June 2025. The game, set in 1960s Japan, surprises with its emphasis on melee combat, a striking change in the franchise's style. Producer Motoi Okamoto stated that the combat will be "more action-oriented" and the focus will be "on physical interactions and the real risk of approach," which differs radically from the psychological horror style and environmental narratives of previous titles like Silent Hill 2.

The release date of Silent Hill f has been confirmed for September 25, raising expectations for more concrete details of gameplay and atmosphere during the event. However, critics already point out the risk of the franchise losing its identity if the title relies too much on direct action and loses the psychological tone that has always defined it.

Besides the two confirmed titles, the official announcement also mentions "and more," leaving room for surprises. One of the main requests from the community is the reappearance of Silent Hill: Townfall, developed by No Code and published by Annapurna Interactive, announced in 2022 and since then absent from any relevant new material. There is also speculation about additional content for the remake of Silent Hill 2, currently in the hands of Bloober Team, but with no confirmation of DLCs or narrative extensions.

Konami states that the event will be an opportunity to "hear directly from the creative minds behind their most iconic franchises," as well as to present new content. After years of silence and interrupted projects, fans expect more than just trailers: they want concrete commitments to the franchises that have made history in video game horror and tactical espionage.
