Keen Games announced today the release of the Melodies of the Mire update for the game Enshrouded. This update introduces a variety of new content, including musical instruments and a new biome called The Blackmire.

The Melodies of the Mire update adds a series of new features such as wildlife, building materials, and an expanded enemy faction. It also includes several quality of life improvements for players. The full release of version 1.0 and console versions are still scheduled for 2025, following the development roadmap of Enshrouded for 2024.

The latest update released for Enshrouded was Hallow Halls, which brought four new dungeons, a new enemy faction, legendary rewards, a crafting station with new recipes, and missions.

Highlights of the Melodies of the Mire Update:

  • New Blackmire Biome: An expansion of the Deep Forest area of Revelwoods, with towering trees, extensive roots, and houses nestled among the branches. Players will be able to use special jump pads to navigate the biome. Beware of the Vukah Faction, forest dwellers who are fierce when approached.
  • Musical Instruments: Players can now play lute, harp, drums, or flute, allowing them to live out their bard fantasies. Playing music in a group around the campfire grants buffs that extend time in the desert.
  • New Materials and Buildings: The giant trees of the new biome offer new materials and decorating opportunities, allowing players to create treehouses or mysterious swamps.
  • Player and World Progression: Players can now complete quests in their home worlds that have already been completed by admins on other servers. It is also possible to name flame altars and bases, making it easier to mark locations on the map and display character names instead of Steam usernames.
  • Visual Customization: Players can choose to hide gloves and helmets, allowing them to show off their new hairstyles.
  • Other Improvements: Dual wielding of daggers, new server settings, improvements for the Steam Deck, and new NPCs like Valory the Silverstrings (Bard) for item crafting.

Players can automatically download the Melodies of the Mire update on Steam, with a size of 5.6 GB.
