Guerrilla Games is continuing to update the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn, despite sequel Horizon Forbidden West launching in a matter of months. This latest update – version 1.11 – adds support for NVIDIA’s acclaimed DLSS technology, which effectively uses cutting-edge upscaling to reduce computational load while maintaining image quality. There’s also support for AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution, which targets similar results to DLSS.

The Dutch developer has also worked to improve shader compilation, which may result in faster loading times depending on your configuration. If you have a slower CPU, loading times could be longer because the game now waits for the required shaders to be fully compiled before putting you into the game, but this will result in fewer stutters during gameplay, so should be a net positive overall.
