Hideo Kojima celebrates 62 years and promises to continue creating
Hideo Kojima used his Twitter account to celebrate his 62nd birthday on August 24 and reassure fans about his future in the industry. The legendary director, who has been in the industry since the mid-80s, stated that he will continue creating for a long time.
In his message, Kojima thanked fans and stated: "I intend to continue creating things while I live." He also shared a more balanced work philosophy, revealing that his new approach is to "not overwork" and "take it easy".
"My stance on 'creation' is to 'not overwork' and 'take it easy', and I will continue to do my best even after my 60s," said Kojima. He recalled the time he was seriously ill during the pandemic, a moment that made him realize that "many people wanted me to do something like Metal Gear". This realization led to the creation of his upcoming game, Physint.
Additionally, Kojima reaffirmed his ambition to direct a film, something that may happen "in five or six years" after the release of Physint.
The promise of Hideo Kojima to continue creating is a relief to the gaming community. Do you believe that the new work philosophy of "taking it easy" will result in even more innovative and personal projects?
