Helldivers 2 could even come to Xbox, but only if Phil Spencer and Sony fought!

We know that some of Microsoft's games are increasingly coming to the PlayStation 5, which is expanding, started with a few specific ones, such as Sea of Thieves, which is an online cooperative game that fits in a way in live service. Another game that works in the same way is Helldivers 2, the cooperative title that won the hearts of several players when it was released earlier this year, back in February, for both PlayStation 5 and PC.

Something that some Helldivers 2 fans have been thinking about, within the game's discord, was the possibility of a port to the Xbox Series X/S, which is very difficult, given the policies that Sony continues to have with its games, which makes sense for billion-dollar single-player budget titles, as they are experiences that you will only find on that console. On the other hand, an online game, the more potential players you have, the longer the game's lifespan can be if you manage it right.

The lack of a release for Xbox is something that was recently highlighted in the Helldivers 2's Discord when a member posted (with a crying emoji): "I just want reinforcements in the form of Xbox players. But that will never happen."

To that, Arrowhead's community manager, Twinbeard, replied: "Who says it couldn't? It's not up to us, but to Sony and Phil to fight, but hypothetically speaking, if both partners think it would benefit them financially/from a brand perspective, it could."

But how to fight? Well, at the beginning of the year, the community manager suggested a chess game between the two platform owners.

In the end, the dream fate of Helldivers 2 for Xbox remains in the hands of the PlayStation manufacturer. "If Sony believes that this won't [benefit the company], it won't," Twinbeard concluded.

In other news, Twinbeard also confirmed that Helldivers 2 will receive the new and shiny PS5 Pro Enhanced seal. "There will be differences between the current PS5 and the Pro versions, but what they are has not yet been confirmed," wrote the community leader.

Now we are here, waiting for more news, in addition to the graphical improvement for the PlayStation 5. This would really depend only on the two companies for Helldivers 2 on Xbox to become a reality, but that must be difficult, even with Indiana Jones: The Great Circle coming to PlayStation 5 next year.
