Harry Krueger announces departure from Housemarque Studios After Over 14 Years
While admitting that the decision to leave Housemarque was not an easy one, Krueger departs the studio with great confidence in the future. He highlights that the team is stronger than ever and is currently engaged in an exciting new project.
In a statement, Krueger declares:
Ilari Kuittinen, Housemarque's managing director, expressed gratitude for Krueger's contribution and the passion he dedicated to each project. Krueger leaves behind a remarkable legacy at Housemarque, and fans now eagerly anticipate the next chapter in the Finnish studio's journey."During my 14 years at Housemarque, I've been incredibly fortunate to work on dream project after dream project, and I've had the privilege of working alongside some truly talented and wonderful people along the way. It's been an honor to accompany Housemarque on this journey, witnessing our growth from our smaller arcade-inspired titles to the magnificent heights we've achieved with Returnal. We truly shook the pillars of heaven together, and I will forever be proud of all the amazing things we've accomplished as a studio. Leaving Housemarque was a very tough decision for me, but I'm leaving the company with nothing but deep gratitude for the past and a bright optimism for the future – with an exciting new project in the works, a fantastic team that's stronger than ever, and the continued support of Sony and PlayStation Studios, I know that the brightest chapter of Housemarque is yet to be written."
