Rockstar Games has confirmed a new delay for the highly anticipated GTA 6. The developer announced yesterday, November 6th, that the game's release has been rescheduled from May 26, 2026 to November 19, 2026. This new postponement of almost six months after the initial delay in May of this year is a critical point that will test the patience of the fans.

According to the official statement from Rockstar Games, the development team needs "more time to finalize the project and bring it to the necessary level of polish". The company remains committed to quality, a priority already emphasized by Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two (Rockstar's parent company), who mentioned on certain occasions that the company has "never regretted delaying games".

In the statement, Rockstar thanked players for their support and patience, stating that the long wait "will be worth it" and that "everyone will be delighted with what the title will have to offer".

So far, GTA 6 is confirmed only for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The expectation now turns to Rockstar releasing a third trailer of GTA 6 as a "consolation prize" for the fans.

Rockstar Games has once again postponed the release of GTA 6, changing the premiere date from May 26, 2026 to November 19, 2026. The official statement justifies the change due to the need for more time for the polishing of the game, reflecting the company's commitment to quality. The title is confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
