GTA 5 and 21 more games disappear from PS Plus: see the complete list before the cut

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the removal of 22 games from the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalog in May 2025. The highlight is the departure of Grand Theft Auto V, one of the most accessed titles on the platform, which will be removed along with acclaimed franchises like inFamous, LEGO, and Batman.

The removal is scheduled to take place until mid-May, as part of the subscription's periodic rotation. Subscribers of the Extra and Premium plans lose access to the games once they are removed from the catalog — unlike the monthly titles in the Essential plan, which remain available even after their removal, if they have been redeemed.

"These games will no longer be available as part of the subscription. We recommend that users complete their campaigns in the coming weeks," Sony stated in an internal communication.

This move comes shortly after a month of strong additions to the catalog, including new releases like MotoGP 24, which will now be leaving just a few weeks after its arrival, generating criticism from the community.
