GSC Game World releases short gameplay footage for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl

GSC Game World has released a short but refreshing video of gameplay and graphics engine used for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. As the title suggests, the video shows the protagonist drinking an energy drink.

While the video is short, it does provide a glimpse of the new gameplay/engine for this upcoming title. GSC GameWorld is also likely to show an extended gameplay video for STALKER 2 at the upcoming Xbox Showcase in June.

STALKER 2 aims to feature an epic, non-linear story. In addition, your choices will influence short-term consequences and overall outcomes. The game will take place within the Chernobyl exclusion zone and will feature new locations along with old ones.

The game will use Unreal Engine 5 and was originally aiming for a 2022 release date. In June 2022, GSC GameWorld announced that the game had been delayed to 2023. Realistically, however, we can expect this game to be delayed to 2024.

STALKER 2 promises to be an exciting game with its immersive storyline and gameplay mechanics. The addition of new locations and the use of Unreal Engine 5 will certainly elevate the gaming experience. We can only hope that the game lives up to its hype and delivers on its promises.
