Grove Street Games CEO speaks out after studio is removed from GTA Trilogy credits!

For those who don't know, the long-awaited update that fixes, from lighting to other elements of the Grand Theft Auto trilogy, has arrived in the games, which now have improvements, especially in their versions for Netflix, which truly enhance the game.

However, one of the details that came with this update was the removal of the name of Grove Street Games, which developed Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, a remaster of the franchise's first 3D games. This is because the game's release was terrible, receiving a poor reception in all versions, which brought bugs and performance issues, making it one of the worst launches in the franchise.

Thomas Williamson mentioned in a tweet about the removal of the studio's name, which he manages.

“Speaking entirely hypothetically: It's a dick move to remove primary developers from credits in an update, especially when an update includes hundreds of fixes that were provided by those developers that stayed out of players' hands for years,” tweeted Williamson.

The situation with these game versions was very complicated, especially because Rockstar had to publicly apologize for the terrible release back in 2021. This certainly led the company to disavow the services, which is somewhat negative in any case, as they will always be linked to the game, whether in the credits or not, especially due to the negative launch.

Since the release, we did have some corrections, but only now we truly had fixes, even bringing back the classic lighting from some of the games!
