Games with sad endings to cry while on vacation!

Continuing, I want to make you, my tough friend who hasn't shed a tear since the age of 6, cry a little with another collection of games, very sad, all of them with a story that you most likely have already seen, heard of, or even played.

Still, it's worth the time, as they are high-quality and even addictive games, not only in terms of gameplay but also in terms of story, which makes it a little easier to play the game and come out satisfied (or disappointed that the game has ended...)

  1. Red Dead Redemption 2 - Happy endings are not part of the Red Dead Redemption franchise. In the second title, the protagonist Arthur Morgan is diagnosed with tuberculosis, a disease that would inevitably take his life. Because of this, players already know the fate that awaits the outlaw cowboy. Still, Arthur's death is one of the saddest moments in the series - Available for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC!

  2. The Last of Us - Full of touching moments, The Last of Us marks the beginning of Joel and Ellie's journey in a world dominated by the Cordyceps fungus, which has taken over people and caused humanity to lose its way. Throughout the plot, the duo faces numerous trials involving humans and infected. Still, the end of Naughty Dog's title is not a happy one: the game ends with Joel lying to Ellie about what happened in the hospital, where theoretically the cure for the virus would be made. - Available for PlayStation 5 and PC.

  3. BioShock: Infinite - After shocking players with a plot twist, BioShock Infinite also moved players with its conclusion. In the scene in question, several versions of Elizabeth come together to drown Booker DeWitt, who is actually Zachary Comstock, the antagonist of the title. With this decision, the woman hopes to end a cycle involving villainy, multiple realities, and destinies. Although confusing initially, the ending surprises and is still remembered by fans of the franchise. - Being an old game, it will not be available on today's platforms, but with the backward compatibility of Xbox Series X/S you can play the game. Also available for PC!

  4. The Walking Dead: Season One - In this game set in the universe created by Robert Kirkman, users meet Lee Everett, who became responsible for protecting orphan Clementine. Despite all the difficulties faced by the duo, the end of the game is dramatic: the girl must choose between killing Lee, who was bitten, or leaving him behind. Both alternatives are not easy to take. - Available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
  5. Red Dead Redemption 1 - John Marston seeks to redeem himself from his crimes and live a peaceful life. That said, players witness the various obstacles he faces throughout the game. However, the expected happy ending does not happen - Available for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.

Like I said, some are old, some are newer, but still, what matters is opening your heart to new characters and stepping out of the comfort zone that games usually put us in!
