Fortnite turns legendary theory into reality: Darth Jar Jar is official in the new season!

Epic Games, in collaboration with Lucasfilm, announced that the character will make his debut in grand style in the event "Galactic Battle", the new Season 3 of Chapter 6: Battle Royale.

Starting on May 2nd, players will be launched into a true galactic battlefield. According to Epic, the season will feature:

• Star Wars themed Battle Pass
• Weekly gameplay content
• Special narrative event to close the season
• An avalanche of cosmetics — get your wallet ready, because the skins arsenal promises to be a true parade of iconic characters.
   

In the teaser for Fortnite: Galactic Battle, we could see legendary figures such as Luke Skywalker, Mace Windu, Emperor Palpatine, as well as Wookiees, various ships, Mandalorians, and of course, the main highlight: Jar Jar Binks as a Sith Lord. A historic moment for those who spent years defending (or mocking) the theory that stated that Jar Jar was not just the clumsy fool from the prequels, but actually a master manipulator of the dark side.

Epic Games seems to have perfectly understood the appeal of this theory that went viral in the nerd community. As the defenders of this idea say: "Jar Jar saved Palpatine in the Senate, granted special powers to the Supreme Chancellor, and then mysteriously disappeared — it was all part of the plan."

"We are bringing to Fortnite what is one of the most fun and crazy theories of Star Wars fans," said a representative from Epic. "Darth Jar Jar represents the creativity and passion that the community brings to the Star Wars universe."

In addition, the collaboration between Epic Games and Lucasfilm promises to be the biggest one ever made for Fortnite, surpassing previous events such as those of The Mandalorian and Boba Fett. This shows how Fortnite continues to heavily bet on crossover events to keep its universe always vibrant — even if they have to turn memes into reality for that.

With the arrival of "Galactic Battle", Fortnite not only embraces the absurd and epic of Star Wars, but also proves that no fan theory is too crazy to become official content... if the community strongly requests it.
