Fortnite changes the Battle Pass with unified progression!
Epic Games is preparing a major change in the Fortnite Battle Pass system! Starting on December 1st, the Battle Pass will have a single progression track, where each XP earned in the battle royale, LEGO Building Pieces, Rocket Racing, and the new Musical Pass modes will accumulate to unlock rewards, regardless of the mode the player is playing.
Today, the battle royale mode's Battle Pass already advances with XP from any experience. However, with this update, the Musical Pass (formerly known as the Festival Pass) will also adopt this logic, allowing XP accumulated in any mode, starting on November 2nd, to be applied automatically. So, for those who enjoy exploring the island breaking everything with friends, building with LEGO pieces, or racing on crazy tracks, the reward will be guaranteed on the same progression track.
The Fortnite Festival Season 6 and the next season of the battle royale will bring these changes to the LEGO Building Pieces Pass as well. Important: Festival Points will be disabled on November 2nd, and Battle Stars and Pins will be removed on December 1st.
Remember: despite the experience of each mode counting towards a single unified progression, Epic clarifies that it will still be necessary to purchase each Battle Pass, Musical Pass, or LEGO Pass separately to access all premium rewards. Therefore, while the XP system makes unlocking prizes easier, it will be necessary to invest V-Bucks in the desired passes.
