Ferra, Johnny Cage, Khameleon, Mavado, and Tremor are confirmed as Kameos in Mortal Kombat 1

Studio explores all universes of the franchise

As a big novelty for the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 1, we can mention the historical facts modified by Liu Kang, as well as the insertion of support characters during combat, which are being referred to as Kameos by NetherRealm studio.

According to the GameRant website, YouTuber UncagedGamez, who attended the game panel during the San Diego Comic-Con 2023 event, five fighters will be added to the title as Cameos after the official game release. They are:

• Ferra - Mortal Kombat X
• Johnny Cage - Mortal Kombat
• Khameleon - Mortal Kombat Trilogy
• Mavado - Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
• Tremor - Mortal Kombat: Special Forces

It is noteworthy that such an important character from the franchise is not in the main roster of fighters, as is the case with the superstar Johnny Cage. Not only that, but it's impressive how the developers are seeking to include combatants from different eras of the franchise, as is the case with Mavado, for example.

Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on September 19th for PS5, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
