Fallout 76 reaches a new record of simultaneous players on Steam

Fallout 76, the latest release from the beloved franchise, continues to impress, surpassing its all-time peak concurrent player count on Steam once again, just one week after the previous feat.

Following the success of the Fallout Amazon program, the game has seen a significant increase in the number of players. Last Saturday, it recorded its highest peak player count of all time on Steam, with 64,083 players playing simultaneously, breaking the previous record of around 40,000 set just one week before.

It's worth noting that Fallout 76 was originally released on PC through the Bethesda launcher and only arrived on Steam two years later, in 2020. Additionally, the game is available on PC as part of the Xbox Game Pass, which means that the number of players returning to the game after the success of the TV series is likely much higher than represented by Steam.

Despite its rocky launch, Fallout 76 has received constant updates over the years, introducing several fan-favorite locations from the series, such as The Pitt.

The Fallout Amazon series has been renewed for a second season, further boosting interest in the franchise. This surge in popularity has also been reflected in Fallout game sales, with four titles entering the top 10 in Europe last week.
