Expanding business, Capcom opens new studio in Osaka

Studio focus will be on motion capture

Showing that it really is one of the most popular companies in the gaming industry, Capcom recently announced that it is opening a new studio in the city of Osaka, Japan, which will focus especially on motion capture.

Called Capcom Creative Studio, it will be one of the largest production-supporting conglomerates in the country of the rising sun. The idea is to increase expressive and creative capacity by coordinating shooting with the game development environment. In this way, further strengthening the Japanese company.



The studio will feature 150 cameras, including the latest ultra-high-resolution models, and be located in one of the largest filming areas in Japan (11m×15m×5m).

With so many recent successes from Capcom, the aim is also to increasingly improve the quality of delivery of its games and recent productions.
