EA FC 25 opens voting for LaLiga TOTS with a South American highlight

On EA Sports started on May 7th the voting for the Team of the Season (TOTS) of LaLiga EA SPORTS in EA FC 25 and FC Mobile, with closing scheduled for May 11th. The process, traditional in the company's titles, allows the public to vote for their favorite players from a list of 40 nominees who stood out in the 2024-25 season of the Spanish football elite. The most voted athletes will have their special versions released in the game.

Among the selected names, the South American presence is considerable, with relevant performances not only in numbers, but in technical performance throughout the championship.

Raphinha, winger of Barcelona, leads the league with 63 chances created with the ball rolling, being the highest number among all players this season. The Brazilian also surpassed recent historical records: he is the Barça forward with the most chances created since Lionel Messi in 2019-20, when the Argentine generated 72 opportunities.

Another Brazilian on the list is Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid, who accumulated 3922 meters carrying the ball in attack — the highest mark among the league's forwards. In terms of creation after ball progression, he is only behind Lamine Yamal, with 31 chances created against 25 from Vinicius.

Among the representatives of Argentina, Julián Álvarez of Atlético de Madrid scored more than 15 goals in his debut season, a feat achieved by few: Radamel Falcao, Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suárez and Diego Forlán.

Another Argentine highlight is Rodrigo De Paul, one of only two central midfielders in the league with more than 10 forward passes (12), alongside Pedri of Barcelona, who made 13.

From Uruguay, there are three relevant names. Federico Valverde of Real Madrid leads in goals scored from outside the area, with 5. José María Giménez of Atlético is the defender with the most ball clearances (104) among the top three in the league. Completing the trio, De Paul reinforces the South American weight on the list.
