EA Announces Dead Space Event for Battlefield 2042

An excellent piece of news for Battlefield enthusiasts: the DICE team revealed today a new surprise collaboration for the game Battlefield 2042, an iconic crossover with another classic Electronic Arts franchise: Dead Space.

The exclusive and time-limited event, called Outbreak, inspired by the classic sci-fi survival horror game Dead Space, will take place for one week. It will start on Tuesday, July 9, and will be available until the following Tuesday, July 16.

In Outbreak, player teams will be challenged by their resilience and ingenuity against a new and relentless threatening enemy, while trying to escape from the Boreas laboratory.

Players can unlock free rewards by participating in this unique collaboration, including a new weapon charm and skin, as well as a new background card and tag.

This collaboration also features a Dead Space pack containing a legendary specialist outfit "Marked Target," 3 legendary weapon visuals, and more. The pack can be acquired for 2200 BFC.

Battlefield 2042 is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
