DualSense from Death Stranding 2 arrives in June for $84.99

The limited edition of DualSense inspired by Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released on the same day as the game, June 26, 2025, with pre-orders starting on May 22. The controller was developed in collaboration between Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and Kojima Productions, bringing visual elements directly linked to the narrative of the new chapter in the franchise. 

The highlight of the design is the Drawbridge symbol in vibrant orange, the central organization of the sequel that continues the journey of Sam Porter Bridges. The art was designed to reflect the central themes of the game, such as reconnection and resistance, maintaining the characteristic visual language of the universe created by Hideo Kojima.

The announcement was made on the PlayStation Blog, in a post signed by Isabelle Tomatis, global vice president of marketing at SIE, who commented:

"It was a close collaboration with Kojima Productions to ensure that every detail reflected the unique atmosphere of Death Stranding 2".

The controller will be sold for US$ 84.99 and will be available in limited quantities, distributed through the website direct.playstation.com (in selected regions) and at authorized retailers. Players from the United States and Europe will have free shipping at launch, as long as they purchase directly from the official website. Pre-orders will open at 10am local time in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

There is no confirmation of the official arrival of the model in Brazil, nor of national prices. Historically, special editions of PlayStation accessories have limited distribution in the country, as was the case with previous themed editions of Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy XVI.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released exclusively for PlayStation 5. The Digital Deluxe and Collector's editions guarantee early access to the game starting from June 24. The new phase of the title promises to expand the narrative scale of the original from 2019, now with new mechanics, characters, and environments.

The title is part of the initiative of PlayStation Studios to boost large single-player productions on the console, in contrast to the recent restructuring of teams focused on multiplayer and live service games — as reported in February, with the cut of 900 employees and cancellations in various ongoing projects.
