Digital Happiness has announced that DreadOut 2 will receive a version for Nintendo Switch on January 18, 2024.
DreadOut 2 was initially released for PC via Steam on February 21, 2020, coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on July 15, 2022, and finally launching on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on July 20, 2022.
The game is a third-person horror adventure based on Indonesian folklore and urban legends. In the game, you take on the role of Linda Meillinda, a high school student with supernatural powers that allow her to sense and see ghosts.
Using her smartphone, Linda must hunt these terrifying spirits and dark forces that threaten not only her hometown but all of humanity. The sequel features new melee combat and a greater emphasis on exploration, providing an immersive and frightening experience in the horror genre.
Explore and defeat ghosts with Linda's smartphone camera or melee weapons. Navigate through a city and beyond, interacting with residents, completing side missions, and delving into the lore of DreadOut.
Discover local spirits and myths to fill Linda's Ghostpedia on her smartphone. Face terrifying bosses, including the Kuntilanak and the Gore Surgeon, while maintaining your courage in the supernatural realm.
DreadOut 2 is already available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version arrives on January 18, 2024.
