DLC for Lies of P promises a lot of difficulty to be completed, according to the game director
As one of the coolest games in the souls style not published by the creator of the genre, Lies of P, developed by Round8 Studio and published by the editor Neowiz Games, is about to receive its first additional content, named Overture, which promises to continue the game's story for those who managed to finish it.
During the Game Developers Conference 2025 (also known as GDC), the game director, Jiwon Choi, stated that the duration of Overture, even for an experienced player, is about 15 to 20 hours, but it may even exceed that time. This suggests a lot of difficulty, even for veterans.
Choi also comments on how the main game and the DLC are connected, which would be a waste of brilliant ideas if the studio did not choose to develop the expansion.
Overture is not a completely separate piece from the base game, and there is a lot of interconnectivity between the two. So developing the expansion was almost like an effort to complete the Lies of P experience, and that was challenging.
The story of Lies of P: Overture puts players back in time to experience the puppet massacre in the tragic history of Krat City, before the events of the main game. So we can expect new areas to explore, new weapons and equipment to try out, and of course, new bosses.
Lies of P: Overture is scheduled to be released by September 2025.
