Dino Crisis 1 and 2 arrive at GOG, which asks fans about more classics!
Dino Crisis 1 and 2 were some of the great games of the PlayStation 1 that have now had the long-awaited port to PC, with their versions arriving on GOG, which also wants to know which classics fans want to see coming to computers!
Today, the survival horror dinosaur hunting games can be purchased separately for US$ 10, or together as a bundle for US$ 17. Dino Crisis 1 and 2 follow special agent Regina as she investigates a scientific research facility with time distortion effects that lead to confrontations with prehistoric beasts. There was also a spin-off of Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 3, but we don't talk about them.
The games are receiving several interesting features that should make the gameplay a bit smoother for those who want to return to the world of Dino Crisis, or for those who are entering it for the first time, which can make the adventure quite different, especially because they are old games.
Below are some of the features that will be available if you want to play the games:
- Full compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11
- All 6 game localizations included (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese)
- Original, Arrange, and Operation Wipe Out modes included
- Enhanced DirectX game renderer
- New rendering options (windowed mode, vertical sync control, gamma correction, integer scaling, anti-aliasing, and much more)
- Increased rendering resolution to ~4K (1920p) and color depth to 32 bits
- Improved geometry calculation, more stable transformation and texturing
- Enhanced alpha transparency
- Enhanced game recording settings
- Seamless playback of animation, video, and music
- Seamless saving (the game no longer corrupts saved files after leaving dropped weapons)
- Full support for modern controllers (Sony DualSense, Sony DualShock4, Microsoft Xbox Series, Microsoft Xbox One, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, Logitech F series, and many more) with optimal button mapping, regardless of hardware, hotplugging, and wireless mode
If you have never seen the game, below I will also leave the 2 trailers published by GOG on their Youtube channel!
