Diablo IV announces new season and crossover with Berserk: check out dates and details
Starting on April 29, 2025, Diablo IV begins its 8th season, named The Return of Belial, as confirmed by Blizzard in an official statement released on April 21. The new season promises unique missions related to the Lord of Lies, unique events with great challenges and rewards, as well as a new reliquary system, which will also offer new forms of progression.
In the press release, Blizzard highlighted: "We released a special trailer to showcase the season's news, which will include special powers and a completely new story." The material is already available for players to check out.
Another major highlight is the “first external collaboration” in the history of Diablo IV, set to begin on May 6, 2025. It is a crossover with the legendary manga/anime Berserk, created by Kentaro Miura. Players will be able to equip costumes and items inspired by the dark universe of the work, combining the brutal atmosphere of Berserk with the already intense setting of Sanctuary.
This is not the first time that Diablo IV has relied on large-scale events to energize the player base, reinforcing Blizzard's commitment to keeping the title relevant in the competitive RPG market.
