Season revealed during Gamescom 2023

Blizzard announced the new season of Diablo IV, the Season of Blood, during Gamescom 2023's Opening Night Live on Tuesday, August 22.

Scheduled to debut on October 17, the second season will introduce a freshly transformed army of vampires who have set their sights on Sanctuary.

The Season of Blood will bring new missions, vampiric powers, five end-game bosses that could grant access to unique items, and more.

The new season will also bring other changes, such as more efficient inventory management for gems, a highly requested feature from the community.

Blizzard also revealed that enhancements to Paragon Points, Skill Points, potion charges, and obols will carry over to a new Season when earned with a character from the Eternal Realm or the previous Season. Additionally, there will be changes to the functionality of status effects like Vulnerable, Brutal Strike, critical hit damage, and elemental resistances.

More details about the Season of Blood will be disclosed soon.

"At the behest of their dark master, a freshly transformed army of ravenous vampires has set its sights on Sanctuary. The sinister master's plot remains a shrouded mystery, but his quest for the blood of the innocent has stirred unrest. You must learn to hunt the hunter – your destiny depends on it."

Diablo IV is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
