Recently, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition and Devil May Cry 4 were abruptly removed from Steam, leaving players without the option to purchase these titles on the platform.
While the Special Edition of Devil May Cry 4 is still available, Devil May Cry 3 no longer has a standalone version. Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition can still be acquired as part of the DMC HD Collection.
Devil May Cry 5, released in March 2019, surpassed its predecessor becoming the best-selling entry in the series, with sales totaling 3.7 million units. The total sales of the Devil May Cry series reached 22 million units as of June 30, 2020.
So far, Capcom has not provided explanations for this sudden removal.
