Death Stranding 2 will have important revelations on May 8th
The countdown to find out more about Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is about to end. After months of mystery and only fragmented teasers, Kojima Productions will finally mark a big moment: on May 8, a wave of previews about the game will be published by various industry members.
The green light came after an in-person event held in Japan, where journalists and gaming personalities were able to test the title in advance. Among the attendees was Geoff Keighley, host of Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards, and a known personal friend of Hideo Kojima. On his social media, Keighley shared that he participated in the "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach preview event," further increasing expectations.
According to reports from participants, the event lasted about a week, and allowed access to about 30 hours of gameplay. However, Kojima Productions kept discretion and did not officially disclose these details.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is the highly anticipated sequel to the iconic game of 2019, and promises to expand the concept of human connection in an even more desolate and surreal world. The game will be available starting on June 26, 2025, arriving for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
For those who want to get ahead, the physical edition pre-order is already active on Amazon Brazil, offering benefits such as free shipping for Prime members, price guarantee, and interest-free installment on credit card.
It is worth noting that Death Stranding 2 was announced during The Game Awards 2022, but since then few concrete details have been released to the public. With the upcoming preview event, we will finally see more about the new mechanics, storyline, and how Kojima intends to evolve the experience from the original game.
Mark your calendars: May 8 will be the day when the pieces of the Death Stranding 2 puzzle will finally start to fit together.
