He officially announced the launch of Absurd Ventures, a new media company ready to create new universes and incredible stories across all platforms and formats.
Houser is a renowned British writer, producer, and voice actor. He co-founded Rockstar Games in 1998 with his brother Sam, Terry Donovan, and Jamie King. Since then, he has played a crucial role in the development of several successful games such as Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, and Max Payne 3.

Dan Houser's departure from Rockstar Games occurred in 2016, shortly after the departure of Leslie Benzies, the influential former president of Rockstar North. Benzies sued Take-Two Interactive for allegedly not receiving approximately $150 million in royalties and claimed the company tried to force him out after his sabbatical. The case was settled in 2018.
Benzies moved on and founded his own studio called Build a Rocket Boy in 2017. Currently, he is working on a new open-world game called Everywhere. It seems both former colleagues are ready to take separate paths and create new adventures.
