Cyberpunk 2077 will not have an upgrade for the PlayStation 5 Pro.
This month we had the release of the PlayStation 5 Pro, which sparked many discussions in the community about the need for the console, and about the actual improvements it could bring. A large portion of games released in recent years, especially games from Sony, had announced improvements coming alongside the console. However, there was one game that did not have improvements and is very unlikely to have any, which is Cyberpunk 2077.
On X, the official Cyberpunk 2077 account responded to a tweet questioning the lack of a version for PlayStation 5 Pro, and unfortunately CD Projekt RED must be too busy for that.
It's a bit sad for the fans, who even tried to come up with theories about it, with some saying that the lack of the version would come as "revenge" for when Cyberpunk 2077 was removed from PlayStation 4 stores because of the bugs that made the game unplayable on Sony's console.
The release was quite complicated, leading many players to request refunds. Microsoft offered refunds, but Sony went ahead and removed the game entirely from stores.
However, it's almost impossible that this is the reason, as CD Projekt RED is a bit too busy, especially because they are working on the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next The Witcher, which is definitely the next game from the developer.
In any case, Cyberpunk 2077 has also been in development for a long time, even before the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 generation, and even with a DLC being released, it is very unlikely that CD Projekt will return to the game without a very good reason.
