Cut content from Final Fantasy XV reveals different plans for the game!

Final Fantasy XV has been around for 8 years, and even though it is a controversial game within the series, it still raises doubts about its development, and now, with access to some production details, perhaps the end of the game would have been different!

In a recent video by Luthus Nox Fleuret , a YouTube channel dedicated to showing content from FF15 that didn't make it into the final game, they show an alternative version of the prison sequence in Chapter 14 of the game. Probably goes without saying, but here's a spoiler warning for the ending of Final Fantasy 15 .

In the full game, after being pulled into the crystal, Bahamut tells Noctis that he is the prophesied True King and that he must sacrifice himself to purge the Starscourge and save Eos . Noctis then spends 10 years sleeping in the crystal, waking up when he becomes powerful enough to defeat Ifrit and Ardyn .

The alternative version of the story, however, is a bit more tragic. In this version, Noctis is trapped in the prison, apparently absorbing the light from the moon, and instead of having to wait 10 years, he doesn't know how long he has to remain imprisoned. During the sequence, the player is presented with the phrase "My life for the power to save the world ..." , and has the opportunity to reject his fate, remaining imprisoned until you decide to agree to sacrifice your life.

It is interesting to see cut content from wonderful games like this, which raises doubts about how the story could have been, and knowing about this ending, I imagine it would have been much sadder than it already is. So, what do you think about that?
