To mark the 30th anniversary of the iconic series Need for Speed, Criterion Games has revealed a year of live service in Need for Speed Unbound, promising new content and optimizations.
Over the next 12 months, players can expect four new content drops, bringing thematic updates, new modes, events, challenges, rankings, vehicles, and progression opportunities.
Starting from Volume 6, each release will include a Speed Pass, offering 45 levels of free content, as well as the option of a Premium Speed Pass with an additional 30 levels of premium items. Furthermore, two new fully customizable cars will be introduced as part of the Speed Pass, accompanied by various customization options.
Throughout the year, the NFS Unbound team is committed to fixing bugs and implementing requested improvements to enhance the gaming experience. With the aim of continuous improvement, player feedback will be crucial and incorporated into updates throughout the period.
The developer sees this coming year as an opportunity for experimentation and learning, collaborating with a dedicated Player Council and using game telemetry to collect valuable community feedback. With regular updates, players will be kept informed about developments and changes.
