The GTA 6 has been delayed for the second time, with Rockstar Games rescheduling the premiere from May 26 to November 19, 2026, a substantial delay of almost 6 months. The postponement has left millions of fans angry and raised criticisms about the marketing management of the title.

However, the core content of GTA 6 is finished and playable for months, according to Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming, a credible source in the industry. The six-month delay is justified by Rockstar Games for their exhaustive pursuit of polishing, determined to not take risks in a colossal-scale game.

In the latest Insider Gaming podcast, Henderson commented on the situation and the need for zero errors at launch:

“Regarding the delay, I think it won't be delayed again. I mean, this is a substantial delay, it's another six months and I think an employee even said, I think, on a GTA forum, that in terms of content the game is ready.”

“From what I've heard, the content has been ready for a long time, but as I said, I don't know when that was and I'm tired of saying it for months, but I said it on a podcast not long ago, that if there is even one mistake, someone going through a door or something like that, people will make a fuss and it will give them a bad image.”

The alleged scale of GTA 6 and the numerous gameplay diversity envisioned foresee a colossal game that truly demands immense attention for the correction of all possible errors. Rockstar Games is prioritizing quality to ensure that the experience lives up to the launch hysteria.

The GTA 6 has been delayed by Rockstar Games from May 26 to November 19, 2026. Tom Henderson (Insider Gaming) reports that, although the content of the game has been ready for months, Rockstar will undergo thorough polishing to ensure that not a single error occurs at launch, given the colossal scale of the title.
