Community ARC Raiders creates "Watchlist" against betrayal in PvP

The ARC Raiders community developed a social control tool called Speranza Watchlist to combat the increase in betrayal among players. The website functions as a public list where any user can search another player's Embark ID to check if they have been accused of questionable behavior in the game.

The need for the list arose with the change in the environment within ARC Raiders. Initially, the game's release had cooperation as a rule, with players helping each other and sharing resources. However, the growth of PvP and the consequent competition led to an increase in reports of betrayal: players who approached with "good intentions" and then stabbed their colleagues in the back. This hostility motivated the community to create a form of self-defense.

The website allows anyone who has been betrayed to submit the aggressor's Embark ID and explain what happened, serving as a warning to future teammates. The list takes on a humorous tone, suggesting that players ask for the Embark ID for a "background check".

Although the Speranza Watchlist is not official and does not carry weight within the game, it is seen as a useful tool by some players. However, its existence raises questions about the community itself, highlighting that the environment has become hostile with the rule of "don't trust anyone until proven otherwise". Critics of the list express fear that unjust accusations could lead to even more confusion and negatively influence interactions in the game.
