The New Game Plus (NG+) update for God of War Ragnarök is now available and we were quick to check out everything that this update brought.
With new equipment, increased level cap and more enchantments the mode allows you to experience the story again with more gameplay options from the start, using all of your equipment, weapons and skills carried over from the previous save.
However some specific weapons, such as Athreus' arrows, will only be unlocked later in the main quest line.
New equipment has also been added, including the Black Bear Armor, the Spartan Armor, and the Ares and Zeus Armors, with new looks and perks.The Spartan Aspis, Kratos' new shield, returns in God of War Ragnarök.
My tip is to check out the armor in the store, it will be in amazing variations and abuse it for new enchantments. Unique combinations can be created.
New armor appearances have also been added, which can be purchased and applied to any existing level 9+ armor in the transmog menu.
The update also introduces a new level cap in addition to Platinum level jobs, a larger Niflheim Arena, and the ability to choose one of the companion characters to fight alongside you: Atreus (with Kratos), Freya, Brok, Sindri, Angrboda, Ingrid, Thor, and Thrúd.
A very enjoyable way to return to God of War Ragnarök and check out all of Kratos' power.

- Black Bear Armor, focuses on Strength and Defense
- Spartan Armor is a challenging set with no Perk, no Stats, and locked at Power Level 1. For players who want a greater challenge
- Ares Armor has a chance to drop a Health Stone on hit. When you step on the Health Stone, you also get a rage gain alongside a bigger explosion. It can be purchased for Hacksilver at the Huldra Brothers' Shop.
- Zeus Armor allows for the best risk-reward play style. This set greatly increases your Melee and Runic damage, but increases the damage you receive. It can be acquired by defeating Gnah, the Valkyrie Queen and completing the Remnants of Asgard in an NG+ save.
