Chamo Games Emerges with Industry Veterans at the Helm

In an exciting development for the gaming community, Chamo Games has been founded by industry veterans Zoher Toutanji, former COO of IO Interactive (known for Hitman), and Roberto Schiavulli, ex-creative director at Plarium (developers of Raid: Shadow Legends). This Malmö, Sweden-based studio aims to revolutionize the gaming landscape with its innovative projects and diverse team.

The core team at Chamo Games boasts an impressive roster of talent, with developers from major studios such as Riot Games, Ubisoft, and CD Projekt Red. Since its inception in September 2023, the team has grown rapidly from the initial two founders to a robust group of 25 by March 2024. Embracing a global perspective, Chamo Games operates with a remote workforce, enhancing its cultural diversity and creative input.

“Chamo Games is more than a studio; it’s a community dedicated to crafting innovative gameplay experiences. We’re eager to share our upcoming project that pushes the boundaries of gaming genres,” said Toutanji, now serving as CEO.

Chamo Games is currently developing a groundbreaking "non-lethal FPS" that promises to deliver fresh and exciting gameplay mechanics. The studio emphasizes a commitment to masterful craftsmanship, kindness, and sustainable business practices. This approach is integral to their mission to elevate PC and console gaming experiences.

The leadership team at Chamo Games includes CTO David Lind, executive producer Stephanie Pecaoco, lead game designer Bastian Wendzinki, and art director Sylvia Dybiec. With their combined expertise, the studio is poised to create games that resonate with players worldwide.

Backing their mission-driven approach, Chamo Games has secured venture capital from prominent investors including Lakestar, Sisu Game Ventures, and Griffin Gaming Partners. While specific details of the financing round remain undisclosed, the support from these investors underscores confidence in Chamo Games’ vision and potential impact on the industry.
