CD Project Red redirects Cyberpunk 2077 developers to other projects
The CD Projekt has announced that it has completed the development of Cyberpunk 2077, as indicated in the company's latest financial report. From now on, no developer is dedicated to the futuristic RPG, and all employees have been allocated to new projects or projects in progress.
Here is the current division of the CD Projekt team:
- Project Polaris (The Witcher 4): 407 developers (65% of the team)
- Project Orion (Cyberpunk sequel): 56 developers (9% of the team)
- Project Sirius (The Witcher spin-off): 39 developers (6% of the team)
- Project Hadar (new franchise): 20 developers (3% of the team)
- Shared services: 96 developers (15% of the team)
- Other projects: 13 developers (2% of the team)
Project Polaris (The Witcher 4) seems to be the main focus of CD Projekt, with the majority of the team dedicated to it. This is the next major chapter in the acclaimed The Witcher series, which promises to further expand the rich universe of Geralt of Rivia.
Project Orion, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, is also highly anticipated, especially after the release of the Phantom Liberty DLC and the continuous improvements in the original game.
Project Sirius and Project Hadar offer new experiences within The Witcher universe and a completely new franchise, respectively. Both promise to bring new stories and gameplay mechanics that may appeal to both old and new fans.
Let's wait for more updates on these projects from CD Projekt Red and the adventures that await us in the future.
