Catalog of Game Pass gets new additions in September
Enhancing the library with renowned productions the likes of major shooting franchises and traditional fighting games is an outstanding strategy to provide true value to the subscriber, keeping the service appealing with continual new content throughout the month. Microsoft has unveiled the initial list of additions for the Game Pass service scheduled for September 2026, with premieres slated to release between the start and the middle of the month for the Ultimate, PC, and Premium plans.
Among the most anticipated announcements is the inclusion of the first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, developed by Activision, set to release on September 8th, followed by the fighting game Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, produced by Sega, arriving on the platform on September 10th.
The schedule released by the company also includes a variety of independent options and adventures focused on multiplayer format for different platforms.
The full list of titles with their respective dates and subscription categories includes:

Securing access without extra costs to prominent names like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is an undeniable win for Microsoft subscribers. However, maintaining the redundant separation of Ultimate, PC, and Premium tiers with nearly identical lists highlights the structural confusion created by the brand in managing the Game Pass plans, unnecessarily complicating consumer understanding without a real reason.
