Capital - The Brazilian Indie FPS Game, With a Call of Duty Vibe
I have recently been following the advancements of a Brazilian Indie FPS game, made by a single developer. Get to know the story of the game Capital here, which brings Brazilian maps, a Call Of Duty vibe, and is getting ready to launch its alpha!
The game has been developed by Bruno Santa, who has been showcasing his ideas and progress in the game on his YouTube channel. Since 2023, Bruno has been improving Capital and adding new systems to give the game a Call Of Duty feel, but with Brazilian maps, mainly focused on the state of São Paulo.
Bruno has been developing Capital using the Unity graphics engine, which is free and has graphics accessible to different devices, aiming to provide quality gameplay and make the game stand out for its fast-paced gameplay and a theme rarely explored by Brazilian developers.
Among the mechanics that the game presents are sliding and "peixinho" (a move similar to dolphin diving in Call Of Duty) that add speed to the gameplay. The game also focuses on 5x5 matches, with plant and defuse and team deathmatch. The game also aims to bring weapon attachments, not just the ones we already know, like holographic sights and lasers, but also makeshift solutions like using a cracked screen cellphone as a weapon sight, or an oil filter as a sound suppressor.
The game is preparing to launch its Alpha, but it needs to raise money for it, so Bruno created a campaign on Catar.se, with a goal of 10 thousand reais, where you can not only get the Alpha but also a weapon pack that only you will have, during the Alpha and at launch. Not to mention that, if the goal is met, we will have the battle royale mode coming along with the Alpha!
I will leave his channel here for those who want to take a look at the game!
