Capcom reveals details of the character Ed for Street Fighter 6 and announces release date

The long-awaited arrival of the character Ed in the universe of Street Fighter 6 is scheduled for February 27th, as revealed by Capcom. Ed will be unlocked for players who own the Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Edition, or Year 1 Character Pass of the game. Along with his release, a new stage called Ruined Lab will also come, showing the consequences of Shadaloo's fall.

Ed will be the 21st playable character in Street Fighter 6, following the releases of Rashid and A.K.I. in the previous year. He will be available in all three game modes: World Tour, Fighting Ground, and Battle Hub. Ed continues to be an inspiration for simplified controls in Street Fighter 6, maintaining his accessible gameplay, but now with expanded inputs for Classic Controls.

New Moves for Ed:

• Psycho Flicker: A quick jab that can go in one of three directions, vital for controlling space.
• Psycho Blitz: A series of punches disguised in Psycho Power.
• Psycho Storm: His Level 1 Super Art, a series of high-speed jabs.
• Psycho Cannon: His Level 2 Super Art, a multi-hit ball of psycho power.
• Psycho Chamber: His Level 3 Super Art, where he ties up opponents and strikes them on behalf of Neo Shadaloo.

Ed will also receive his Outfit 2, inspired by his story costume from Street Fighter V.
In addition, players can participate in the Capcom Cup X until February 14th, with a chance to win an exclusive color for Outfit 1 for the character the champion uses. Akuma is also scheduled for release soon, in the spring.
