BYD signs partnership with Fortnite at the Blade Ball BYD City arena

The partnership between the electric car manufacturer BYD and Fortnite is in action, with the new Blade Ball BYD City arena.

The arena map is powered by solar energy, through solar panels on the athletes' bodies, which charge the Blade battery. The main idea is to bring in this metaverse content the values and mission of BYD: clean energy, sustainability, and its commitment to caring for the environment.

The Blade Ball BYD City will host the Hero Cup, a tournament created by Hero Base. The winners will take home electric SUVs from BYD. So far, it is the highest prize for Fortnite athletes in Brazil.

The qualifying stages will take place between August 29 and 30 and the grand final will be on September 5. As part of the action, we will also have the national launch of the BYD Yuan Pro on the same day as the final.

The competition will be broadcast on the organization's official channels, with the participation of various esports personalities.
