The Ukrainian developer Burny Games announced its expansion into the publishing branch with the goal of boosting and supporting promising teams in the industry. The company sees this move as a way to "strengthen the studio's ability to test new formats more quickly, expand its portfolio, and support promising teams across the sector".

The first partner title under the publishing label is Colorwood Associations, a word grouping puzzle game developed in collaboration with Infinity Games.

Burny Games' goal is to change the landscape in Ukraine, which currently has "only a handful of product-oriented studios and fewer publishers". The company's strategy is to combine strong internal development with a selective publishing model, creating opportunities for new teams and games.

Burny Games currently employs over 130 "experts", with "plans to hire about ten more by the end of the year" and continuing expansion in 2026.

Anatolii Henis, CEO of Burny Games, emphasized the company's philosophy of prioritizing quality over quantity: "We are not interested in churning out a hundred prototypes per year. We focus only on ideas that we truly believe in and invest fully in them."

With Burny Games' expansion into mobile publishing and its emphasis on a selective and high-quality model, how might this approach affect the diversity and growth of independent titles in Ukraine and the global mobile market?
