Bungie is looking for devs with 200 hours of Tarkov to work on Marathon
If you are one of those who spend hours facing tension in Escape from Tarkov, you may have a chance to work at Bungie. The studio is recruiting a Gameplay Analyst for Marathon, its upcoming extraction shooter. But beware: the requirements go beyond the basics.
In addition to proving more than 200 hours played in games like Tarkov, the position requires that the candidate be active in ranked modes of titles such as Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex Legends, or Rainbow Six: Siege. According to the description, the idea is to attract professionals who live and breathe the multiplayer shooter universe.
Those who are selected will have the mission of providing detailed feedback on gameplay, representing the player's perspective during game development. The professional will also need to collaborate with a team of experts, creating gameplay theories and competing at a high level to improve the product.
Although the position does not reveal much about the current state of Marathon, it is clear that the game will focus on the extraction experience, a style of play that combines elements of survival and competition. It seems that Bungie wants to make the most of the success of titles like Tarkov and other prominent online shooters.
If you have the qualifications — or an account with a few hundred hours played to show —, maybe it's time to try for a position and see what Bungie is preparing for shooter fans.
