In an exciting reveal, Boss Team Games has expanded its lineup of retro-inspired titles with two new entries under the RetroRealms series, developed in collaboration with WayForward. These 2D, 16-bit style action platformers, based on the iconic Halloween movie series and Ash vs. Evil Dead, are set to launch on October 18, 2024, for both PS5 and PS4.

In RetroRealms: Halloween, players will step into the blood-soaked shoes of Michael Myers, embarking on a pixelated rampage through Haddonfield. Meanwhile, RetroRealms: Ash vs. Evil Dead puts players in control of the chainsaw-wielding Ash Williams as he battles hordes of supernatural foes. The crossover content is a unique highlight, with the trailer teasing a scenario where Michael Myers and Ash Williams swap environments, adding an intriguing twist to both narratives.

Pricing details have also been revealed. Each game will be available digitally on the PS Store for $24.99, or you can grab the physical edition bundling both titles for $49.99. Pre-ordering either game will unlock exclusive DLC characters: Laurie Strode in RetroRealms: Halloween and Kelly Maxwell in RetroRealms: Ash vs. Evil Dead, offering fans even more content to enjoy.

This announcement adds to the growing anticipation for these nostalgic throwbacks, combining modern gameplay mechanics with the charm of classic 16-bit graphics. With October 18th just around the corner, horror and retro gaming fans alike have plenty to look forward to this Halloween season.
