Bloober Team: dividing forces between chronos and a secret project
While many still discuss the remake of Silent Hill 2, the Bloober Team moves forward, but not exactly with full focus on Cronos: The New Dawn. The Polish studio decided to split its efforts between two simultaneous projects. The news was confirmed by Wojciech Piejko, director of Cronos, in an interview with MP1st.
On one hand, we have the team dedicated to developing the highly anticipated Cronos: The New Dawn, a title that promises to expand the studio's expertise in the horror genre. It is no coincidence that, after finishing work on Silent Hill 2, the audio team was transferred directly to Cronos, a move that reinforces the studio's obsession with delivering an immersive sound experience. After all, for Bloober, audio is as important as the narrative.
On the other side of the equation, a second team has already begun pre-production on a new mysterious project. So far, no details have been released about the concept, theme, or release date. Bloober remains silent, but expectations are growing: will we finally see something that deviates from the "psychological horror" formula that the studio explores so much?
It is worth noting that these two teams, although independent, share lessons from previous projects. According to Piejko, this separation helps maintain "fluid creativity" without overwhelming the developers. An intelligent strategy for a studio that aims to be more than just "the one that makes remakes."
Cronos: The New Dawn is the next big release from Bloober Team, but the real mystery is: what will be the true next step for this developer? We await more than promises and a little less remakes.
