Billie Eilish arrives at Fortnite in April

Billie Eilish is joining the Fortnite universe later this month, following in the footsteps of other artists like The Weeknd and Lady Gaga. The singer and songwriter will be the third featured artist at the Fortnite Festival, a free-to-play music event launched in December.

Developed by the studio Harmonix, acquired by Epic Games in 2021, the Fortnite Festival allows players to perform in a band with friends or play solo with tracks from popular artists.

The confirmation of Eilish's participation in Fortnite on April 23 comes after the star's inclusion in the game was mentioned in a leaked image of the 2024 content roadmap.

In addition to Eilish, Metallica and Snoop Dogg are also rumored to be possible upcoming artists at the Fortnite Festival, according to the roadmap.

In other Fortnite-related news, Disney recently announced a $1.5 billion investment to acquire a stake in Epic Games. The companies are also collaborating to build a new universe connected to Fortnite, allowing users to interact with content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Avatar.
