Battlefield 6 Reveals Modern Setting and Single-Player Campaign
The EA DICE today released the first Battlefield 6 reveal trailer, confirming a modern setting and the return of the single-player campaign. Despite being a more restrained trailer compared to previous franchise reveals, it generated high expectations. The full multiplayer reveal is scheduled for July 31st.
The trailer invites players to "prepare for the ultimate total war experience. Engage in high-intensity infantry combat. Tear through the skies in aerial duels. Demolish your environment for a strategic advantage. In a war of tanks, fighter jets, and massive arsenals, your squad is the deadliest weapon. This is Battlefield 6." The game can already be added to the PS Store wishlist.
Developed by the Battlefield Studios, which include EA DICE, Criterion, EA Motive, and Ripple Effect, the game promises a large-scale war experience.
In a press release, the plot of Battlefield 6 is revealed: it focuses on "Pax Armata, a Private Military Corporation funded by former NATO states, whose agenda threatens to launch the world into a global conflict". This sets the stage for what players can expect on the battlefield, both in the multiplayer and the return of the series' single-player campaign.
Fans are eager for more information, which will be shared at the multiplayer reveal next week, on July 31st.
The first Battlefield 6 trailer confirmed the modern setting and the return of the single-player campaign. Given the expectations and the franchise's history, do you believe that EA will be able to balance the promise of "total war" with an engaging single-player narrative and a multiplayer that satisfies both veterans and new players?
