Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Receives Third Person and New Game Plus
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will receive a major update on December 5th, the third anniversary of its release and close to the premiere of the movie Avatar: Fire and Ash (December 19). The update will add an optional third-person perspective mode and the highly anticipated New Game Plus. Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft claim they have "reviewed animations, controls, audio, and camera systems to ensure a smooth and intuitive experience" in the new perspective.
The new third-person mode in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora represents a significant change in gameplay. Massive Entertainment has worked to ensure that the experience is "smooth and intuitive," adapting animations, controls, audio, and camera systems. This will allow players to choose between immersing themselves in the first-person Na'vi perspective or enjoying the beauty of the world of Pandora and interacting with the character in third person.
Additionally, the update introduces the New Game Plus, a popular feature in games that allows players to revisit the campaign with their progress preserved. In Frontiers of Pandora's New Game Plus, players' inventory and skills will be preserved. They will face more challenging enemies, but will have access to more powerful equipment and a new skill tree to explore.
Previous updates to Frontiers of Pandora have included a 40fps mode for consoles, the story packs "The Sky Breaker" and "Secrets of the Spires," and a revamp of the Hunter's Guide. These ongoing additions demonstrate Ubisoft's commitment to expanding and enhancing the game experience post-launch.
