Assassin's Creed: Origins is being bombarded on Steam!
Windows 11 has created many problems, whether about games, whether about updates, but it is not only the users who are getting screwed amid the terrible choices that Microsoft has been making in their operating system.
Several "recent" titles from Ubisoft are also suffering amid the updates from Windows, which certainly discouraged fans, who revolted and started attacking the company's games, especially Assassin's Creed: Origins, which for many is considered the last really good title in the franchise!
The IGN reports that this problem has been forming since at least the end of November, when Microsoft released an update for Windows 11 users, version 24H2. This apparently paralyzed several games from Ubisoft, including Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and yes, Assassin's Creed Origins. Outlaws and Avatar received patches to fix the problem, but the discontent among AC fans finally overflowed.
Subsequently, Origins dropped to an overall "mixed" score, with most user reviewers citing the Windows update.
Of course, the problem is likely to continue, as we have no response regarding the issues, not even from Microsoft itself, which updated and complicated the lives of many.
Other games like those from Riot Games (at least with me) are not being accepted by Windows 11 because of Vanguard, and in order for Riot's anti-cheat to be accepted, it is necessary to change BIOS settings, which can be complicated for laypeople, creating more and more problems for those who just want to play a little.
