ARAM will have a new map, mechanics, and skins on June 25th

The Act 2 of Season 2 of League of Legends will be released on June 25th with substantial overhauls in the ARAM mode, new skins from the Spirit Blossom line, and the addition of Yunara, the new marksman in the game. The changes reflect Riot Games' efforts to refresh the LoL experience with new systems, cosmetics, and interactive modes.

The main change is in the ARAM (All Random All Mid), which will now work with map rotation. Now, when entering a match, players may be allocated to three distinct scenarios: Howling Abyss, Koeshin Crossing, and Carnage Bridge. The Koeshin Crossing, a new map with an aesthetic based on the Spirit Blossom line, introduces two central portals that quickly transport champions from one side to the other, promoting swift repositioning. A new visual "spirit realm" animation will also be displayed when the player dies, lasting until the end of the respawn time.

As for the Carnage Bridge, which originally appeared in the Arena mode, it introduces the Power Blooms — items that occasionally appear in the center of the map offering healing, shields, and temporary buffs. However, the impact of these bonuses will be more contained than in the original mode. The displacement also changes: out go the classic base portals, in come the URF cannons, which allow choosing the landing point respecting the furthest tower still standing.

Champion selection mechanics in ARAM will also be adjusted. Each player will now have three champion options, and the two not chosen will be available for allies. This change eliminates the reliance on the "roll", often a source of frustration among friends.

Visually, the Spirit Blossom event returns with a new set of skins, including an exalted version for Morgana, with a dynamic soundtrack linked to the events of the match. The skin will have the highest level of rarity, with special effects and greater visual complexity. The complete list of event skins includes:

Additionally, Riot Games is developing a nostalgic themed skin for Viktor, with no defined date yet.

Finally, the event will bring a 2D beat-em-up style minigame, starring Xin Zhao and Yunara, offering a parallel and casual experience to traditional LoL. Yunara, the new ADC (marksman) champion, is focused on basic attacks, but more details about her abilities have not yet been revealed.

These updates reinforce Riot's movement to diversify the LoL experience, as it had already done with previous interactive events, betting on both visual renewal and the addition of systems that keep the player base engaged.
