Apex Legends fixes weapon, but frustrates opportunistic players.

Respawn has released a new update for Apex Legends, bringing a nerf to the RE-45 pistol. The weapon, which used energy ammo, became the most powerful of Season 26 and was dominating the meta, but the changes implemented by the developer aim to balance the game again.

The RE-45 received a significant buff in the current season, now using energy ammo and firing in a burst pattern similar to the Nemesis rifle. This made the pistol extremely effective in combat, with many players using it in their ranked matches.

Respawn reduced the size of the RE-45 magazine by three for all levels, making it harder to take down opponents with a single clip. The horizontal and vertical recoil of the weapon was also increased, making it harder to control, and the projectile size was reduced to align with other pistols, requiring more precision from the player.

Despite the change being considered necessary for the good of the game, the frustration of some players who took advantage of the meta is inevitable. The reliance on "broken" weapons to improve performance in the game is a reality for a portion of the community.

The update also increased the spawn rate of EVO Harvesters and the chance of several of them appearing in the same POI, but this change is considered of lesser importance to the community. Respawn focuses on balancing the main combat mechanics to ensure that Apex Legends remains one of the top games in the FPS market.

The decision of Respawn to nerf the RE-45 demonstrates a commitment to balancing the Apex Legends meta to ensure a fair game for all players. Do you think this update will be enough to bring lasting balance to the game?
